Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a barrier and seized the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account features clips of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Well-being

Several supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of attendees had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and production design.
